ATC-E01 is a product developed by AT-COM based on the features of MC60. ATC-E01 is designed with built-in SIMCARD antenna, GSM Antenna, earphone/ microphone jack for easy research and development of GSM/ GPS/ GPRS related applications such as: In addition, with its compact size, convenient data output, ATC-E01 will bring to the inspiration of modern and refined design.

3. Feature of MC60-E01 Easy board
The product is integrated ATCBus Socket with pins in the order that allows users to connect to products that support ATCBus easily. All in one ATCBus.
a. Power Supply and ON/OFF module MC60
The U-blox-MC60 modulel has to be powered by a clean and stable power supply. Although, the MC60 module need about 20ma for nomal operation but the cellular network modules in general, are notorious for their high power consumption, so the 1A LDO had to be used.
Power supply for ATC-E01 is 5VDC. On the circuit is integrated TPS73701DCQR LDO power IC, supply 4V voltage for MC60 module ensures the module operating at the optimal voltage level. The power supply is capable of providing sufficient current up to 1.6A at least.
Some main feature of power IC TPS73701DCQR:
Module MC60 has integrated the GNSS technology for satellite navigation enable customer use information about longtitude, latitude, time, speed..v.v. for their applications. Power supply of GNSS module is 3.3V, so ATC-E01 has used power IC RT9193-33GB of Richtek USA Inc with Output is 3.3V/300mA, low volt drop, satisfy about performance and stable to supply for GNSS module. The power supply of the GNSS part can be controlled by the GSM part through the GNSS_VCC_EN pin. The GNSS part can be powered on or off by AT command. When GNSS_VCC_EN is pulled high, The VOUT pin of RT9193-33GB voltage output is about 3.3V which will provide power supply for the GNSS part.
Some features of IC RT9193-33GB:
The circuit is designed with a transistor turns on/off MC60 module. It is possible to power on/off MC60 in two Methods:
- Method 1: Driving the PWRKEY to a low level voltage, the module will execute power-down procedure after the PWRKEY is released. To turn on module by driving the power key pin to a low level at leat 100ms.
- Mothod 2: Supply hight pulse at pin PWR của ATCBus Socket, after module MC60 turn on, led netlight will blink, led status will turn on.
b. Voltage logic selection
The circuit communicates with the microcontroller via ATCBus Socket, which supports communication for both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers. Choosing the voltage level to communicate with the microcontroller by selecting I/ O Level on the circuit. The user selects the I/ O Level by welding 0 ohm resistor to 3V3 or 5V position (by default, the 0 Ohm resistor is welded to 5V position).
ATC-E01 use bidirection logic translator TXB0106PWR of Texas Instruments, it can use to convert logic level from 1.2~3.6V to 1.65~5.5V and bidirection with speed up to 100Mbps. Logic level communicate of Quectel MC60 is 1.8V and level logic of microcontroler nomal is 3.3V/5V, so voltage translator IC need to use to compatible signal level.
ATC-E01 support UART interface to communicate with Quectel MC60 module via AT command. UART interface supports baud rates from 75 bps to 115.2 kbps and automatic baud rate detection for up to 115.2 kbps. The automatic baud rate detection mode is set by default. User can config baud rate by AT command via uart interface.
Change logic level:
- Remove 0R (size 0805) at current possition.
- Solder resistor 0R (size 0805) to another posstion.
c. GSM/ GNSS/Bluetooth Antenna
ATC-E01-MC60 support SMD bluetooth antena of INPAQ and compact two type IPX and SMA antena connector for GSM and GNSS.
Quectel MC60 support quad- 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz and support all of protocol TCP, UDP, PPP, FTP, HTTP and SSL. MC60 module integrate GNSS (GPS/ GLONASS/Galileo/ QZSS) enable get time, longtitude, latitude data…via uart interface. Module has three 50 Ohm smd antena pad of GSM/GPRS/GPS/Bluetooth, with this function user can add some components to make own application.
Some features about GNSS of MC60:
MC60 module integrate module Buetooth 3.0 with data tranfer speed up to 24Mbit/s and range of up to 10 met.It’s suitable for develop applications RF with high speed and short range.
Some features of Bluetooth antenna ACA-5036-A2-CC-S:
Functions of GSM/GPRS/GPS/Bluetooth can config by AT command via uart interface.
