 1. RFID Reader/Writer Overview 

    RFID Reader/Writer product is the solution due AT-COM designed and produced are full of features of the solution card read/write RFID tag, the product can read/write the cards are 13.56 Mhz operating frequency usage according to the ISO/IEC 15693, ISO/IEC 14443 type A/B, ISO/IEC 18092 , NFC forum type 1, 2, 3, 4. The product uses RFID solution of ST Microelectronic manufacturer using the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller (CPU Core 32-bit ARM Cortex -M3) with 64 KB Flash, 20 Kbytes SRAM, processing speed up to 72MHz in combination with RFID data transceiver chip CR95HF-VMD5T, the antenna was designed to integrate on PCB. In addition, the product is closed shell box with dimensions 105 x 70 x 12 mm compact and aesthetic, having 1 green LED, 1 Buzzer for the announcement of the necessary information required by the user. The user can optionally add the shell, the shell product box has 2 version:

  • Version 1: communication via mini USB port.

  • Version 2: communication via RS232 Connector with the order of the pins: 5V, GND, TXD, RXD.

3. Features of RFID Reader/Writer

 

    The product operates at a 5VDC voltage, supply via USB port or via the 5V pins and GND pins of the RS232 connector. The Board is designed with the ability to resist provision backward extreme.
 
The Board is designed to use RFID solution using the chip of ST Microelectronic manufacture with STM32F103C8T6 high-speed microcontroller (CPU Core 32-bit ARM Cortex ™-M3) with 64 KB Flash, 20 Kbytes SRAM, processing speed up to 72MHz and RFID data transceiver chip CR95HF-VMD5T with 13.56 MHz operating frequency. STM32F103C8T6 Serial data communication with CR95HF-VMD5T according to standard SPI with a maximum speed of up to 2 MHz.
 
The product supports read/write RFID tag, identity card ISO/IEC 15693, ISO/IEC 14443 type A/B, and ISO/IEC 18092, NFC forum type 1, 2, 3, 4.
 
    RFID transceiver antenna is designed directly on the PCB to help a product of compact size, ability collectible broadcast stability:
  • As for the ISO/IEC 14443 tags, the tag identifies the actual distance is 3 cm.
  • For ISO/IEC15693 tags then the actual card identification distance of up to 5 cm.
   The product is integrated IC MAX3232CDR has a function converts TTL Logic level to RS232 allows communication with other devices through standard RS232 or the user can combine the circuit switch RS485 allows maximum media 1,200 meters.
 
    RFID Reader/Writer is integrated mini USB port allows communication with a computer or other device that supports USB 2.0 standard is very handy.
 
   The product is designed with a compact casing, aesthetics and support connector for transmission to receiving data RS232 standard, USB standard. Users can option to suit your application needs.

   

    Integrate the components to show status on demand:
  • 1 single LEDs Green used to report the status of RFID.
  • 1 Buzzer speaker with the volume of 80dB.

 

    Users simply need to put RFID tags on the scan of the RFID Reader/Writer is able to obtain information and data in the card, or can write data to the card according to needs of use.

5. Manual uses the tag write software

   To use the tag write software, we use RFID Reader/Writer product version RS232 interface, conversion cable USB RS232, power supply 5VDC and connect hardware as the figure:

 

   To install the driver for the USB-RS232 converter cable, you download driver follow a linkhttp://www.prolific.com.tw/US/ShowProduct.aspx?p_id=225&pcid=41

    After the installation is finished, you connect the USB to RS232 cable with the computer, the computer will identify the driver for the cable. To check, you right Click on My Computer icon select Manage, Click on Device Manager entry; If installing the driver successfully, it will show as picture. Each computer can receive a different COM port, here, the computer identity is "USB Serial Port (COM9)".

    You run the ATCRFID.exe software and connect to the COM port has just plugged into the computer on (COM 9)

 

     After connected to the COM port is successful, we enter the RFID tag card inscribed on the frame Data 1 and Data 2 and click on the button tag.

    The software will alert users to put RFID tags on to the record.

 

    Users who insert the card the antenna of the RFID Reader/Writer products to write data to the tags.

 

    After write tags are completed, the user will hear the loudspeaker Announces 3 beep and the on-screen display of the recorded announcement tags. End the process of write tags.

     Note: after 10 minutes since the click on the button tag, without the tag inserted into the scanner, the software will notice most of the time, users must record the operation from scratch to write data to the tag.
